The Coalition to Protect NJ Kids is a grassroots alliance of advocates, youth, legal experts, families, and community members united to protect kids from adult prosecution in New Jersey. We don’t let kids vote, sign contracts, or serve on juries—yet New Jersey still allows them to be prosecuted as adults. This outdated policy harms children, worsens racial disparities, and makes communities less safe. It’s time for a system that recognizes how kids actually grow and change. One that treats them as young people worth investing in, not lives to be thrown away.
